We head out for a day at the Worlds/Oceans of Fun amusements parks! Come ride all your favorites - Mamba, Patriot, Detonator, Boomerang, and more! - with your friends. If you prefer the water rides, wear your suit and head over to Oceans of Fun (both are included)! Is there anything more classic than a summer day at Worlds & Oceans of Fun?

Volunteering

Tuesday, June 4, 9:30am-Noon
Meet at VPC South Entrance

Hammocking

Tuesday, June 4, 2-4pm
Meet at Loose Park by the Tennis Courts

Volunteering
Meet us at the Shawnee Indian Mission. We will lend a hand helping with various projects they have going on, some of which are outside - bringing a pair of work gloves is a good idea. It’s a great thing to take time out and contribute to the well-being of others - this is a time to do just that!

Hammocking
Meet us at Loose Park, by the tennis courts, while we hang out in hammocks and on picnic blankets with snacks and cool treats! We’ll bring some games with us, and we’ll just pass then time hanging out and being awesome. Hurray for summer!

Doing Both?
Awesome! Just meet us at the church (67th & Mission) for the volunteering event, and bring some cash for lunch. We’ll hit up lunch together and make sure you get to the park as well. Then you can just get picked up at Loose park at the end of the day!

Rush Funplex

Wednesday, June 5, 11:00am-3:00pm
Meet at the VPC South Entrance

Laser tag, bowling, video games, and more! We’ll enjoy all the activities at the newly-opened Rush on Shawnee Mission Parkway. Whether you like to collect tickets and trade them in at the gift shop, just enjoy playing as many games and activities as possible, or just want to hang out with friends, this is for you!

Pickleball @ Chicken N’ Pickle

Thursday, June 6, 11:00am-3:00pm
Meet at the VPC South Entrance

Jump onto the court with a paddle and a whiffle ball and you are in business! Pickleball is easy to pick up, and super fun to play - so this is for you, even if you’ve never played the game before. This facility is brand new in Overland Park and we’ll check out the courts as well as the food and other games they have on site! Bring extra cash if you want to eat while we are there.

Royals Game

Friday, June 7, 6-11pm
Meet at the VPC South Entrance

We are heading out for some baseball! Join us as we drive out to Kauffman Stadium and watch the Royals take on the Seattle Mariners! There are fireworks after the game, and plenty of time to enjoy friends and take in America’s favorite pastime with friends.
