Serve the community of Memphis!
Every year, we take a summer trip for middle schoolers to a different regional city, including San Francisco, Minneapolis, Denver, Chicago, and more! It’s always a blast—and it benefits the local community. We’re headed to Memphis in July 2024. While we’re there, we’ll be volunteering with a few different local non-profit organizations. We’ll sleep at a local church at night (with sleeping bags and/or air mattresses) and spread out during the day to do our volunteer work. And of course, we always leave some time for fun sightseeing activities (like a water park or some other local attraction!).
Costs & Deadlines
Total cost: $350
$150 deposit due with registration
$200 remainder due by July 1, 2024
The trip fee covers transportation, lodging, and all meals while in Omaha. Students should bring money for any souvenirs they may want and/or snacks on the drive to and from Minneapolis. We do offer scholarships if this cost will be an inhibitor for your student to attend, so please don’t hesitate to email us at youth@villagepres.org.
Cancellations
We completely understand—things come up and plans change. If you have to cancel, you will receive a full refund if you cancel before July 1, 2024. After July 1st, we can only offer refunds if another student takes your student’s vacated spot, or at staff discretion in cases of emergency or physical illness.
