Merry Christmas

From all of us here at Village Youth…

Christmas Celebrations!

It’s the final week before Winter Break! And in honor of Christmas, we have a lot of special things happening during our programming. Think of it as early Christmas gifts! Here’s the rundown of what is happening in the week ahead…

1)   Back in the Sanctuary THIS Sunday, Dec. 13th!
This Sunday worship returns to the Sanctuary at 8:00am, 9:30am, and 11:00am. We will still have Sunday school, per usual, during the 9:30 service. Just come on up to the Youth Loft (Room 333) and we’ll meet you there!

2)    Village Voices Christmas Caroling at Brighton Gardens – Sunday, 5:00-6:30pm
On Sunday afternoon the Village Voices are heading over to Brighton Gardens during their rehearsal time (5:00-6:30pm) to do some caroling for the residents there. Meet at the church and then we’ll travel together to 71st and Mission Rd. What a great gift to the folks down the street from us!

3)    Christmas Progressive Dinner at Cheer – Sunday, 6:30-8:30pm
This Sunday is our annual Progressive Dinner and Christmas Party at high
school youth group. We meet during our normal time and have adults drive students to three different stops/houses: appetizer, entrée, and dessert. You can come dressed in your favorite ugly sweater, Christmas PJs, or you can go classy and dress for a fancy holiday party. Come join the fun!

4)   Twosdays – Tuesday, 4:00-5:30pm
With one more Tuesday before the break, Twosdays will be all about Christmas fun. We’ll have a few snacks on hand and plenty of holiday cheer, so swing by after school all you middle schoolers!

5)   Christmas Party at GPS, Wednesday, 6:30-8pm
The annual Christmas Party at middle school youth group is always filled with great games, holiday excitement, and delicious Christmas treats. Come on out for a fun night, and don’t forget the ugly holiday sweater competition!

6)   Winter Break Schedule
As of December 18 we are officially on Winter Break. There is no youth programming from Dec. 18 – Jan. 9. Our first events in the New Year are on Sunday, January 10th.

Even though the weather has been amazing out there, Christmas is around the corner. We hope you have a wonderful holiday season, and hope to see you soon!

Cheers and Merry Christmas from all of us here on the Youth Staff,

Adam, Kevin, Matthew, Mich, and Zach
