We are about to begin our last work day in the DR. So far it has been a great week – the days groups went into Bateys were eye opening and the nutrition, hygiene, and hypertension stations will help track nutrition and education as we continue to work with our friends in the future.
Teaching in the classroom has been a lot of fun, and students have been amazed at how tiring it can be to teach little kids for a morning!
The construction site at the school has seen a lot of painting, brick-hauling, and scaffold scampering. We have been incredibly impressed with the work of the people here – we have commented many times at their skill and knowledge at the site.
We are looking forward to working this morning, one more beach trip this afternoon, and some live music tonight before we head home tomorrow!
